Illinois Net is powered by Illinois Electric Cooperative to serve Pike, Scott, Morgan, Greene, and Calhoun County with fast, reliable internet. Wireless internet, and fiber internet in certain areas, is available to members and non-member of the electric cooperative. Illinois Electric Cooperative first began providing internet service in 1993. At the time, the motivation was simple: there was no way for rural residents to get internet in their homes, and we wanted to change that.
Over the past 32 years, the co-op has drastically improved its infrastructure to increase bandwidth speeds across its electric service territory. Today the co-op provides wireless and fiber internet to over 6,400 consumers.
