We strictly prohibit the downloading or distribution of copyrighted material including but not limited to music, movies, television shows, software, games, and eBooks. Downloading copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright holder is illegal, and you should not do it. The unauthorized download or distribution of copyrighted works constitutes copyright infringement under the Copyright Act, Title 17 U.S Code Section 106(3)-(4).
If you are downloading or have downloaded any illegal material, you should cease doing so immediately and delete any illegal downloaded material from your computer.
You should know that the copyright holders such as the major movie studios monitor Internet use, and they are likely to catch unauthorized downloads.
If a copyright owner notifies us of your unauthorized download, we will be forced to terminate your Internet service and will charge $50 for reconnection. Second offenses will have to be turned over to our attorneys.
The Illinois Electric Cooperative takes claims of copyright infringement seriously and responds expeditiously when claims are brought to our attention in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
